If Chrome freezes or crashes repeatedly, extensions or hardware acceleration are usually the culprits.
First, open chrome://extensions/ and disable all extensions, then re-enable them one by one to find the cause.
Next, turn off hardware acceleration: Settings → System → Use hardware acceleration when available.
If crashes continue, delete the Chrome “User Data” folder (after backup) to reset your browser profile.
Also ensure your antivirus isn’t blocking Chrome’s background processes.
