Did you know your Windows laptop can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for your phone or other devices? This is especially handy when you’re using a wired Ethernet connection or a mobile data dongle and want to share that internet with others.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile hotspot.
- Turn on Mobile hotspot.
- Choose Share my Internet connection from: (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile).
- Edit the Network name and Password if needed.
Now your laptop becomes a small wireless router!
If the hotspot won’t start, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled and your network driver is updated via Device Manager.
It’s a lifesaver feature — especially for business travelers or when your main router fails.
